‘Deserved Space’ or ‘Give People the Space They Deserve’ originates from an interview with a regular London commuter, who described the daily experience of navigating crowded streets. He spoke about witnessing people being knocked over in the rush, and a general lack of awareness and care for others and their personal space.

In response, I developed a campaign based project that explores these observations and encourages greater mindfulness in busy public environments. The aim is to prompt reflection on how we move through shared spaces, and how our actions affect those around us.

The project features me and two of my brothers connected by large lengths of red fabric, positioned within a public setting. This visual intervention maps the space between bodies in a physical and immediate way, while also disrupting it. By making personal space visible, the work highlights how easily it can be restricted, overlooked, or ignored.

The campaign is presented through a series of proposed posters and billboards, a short looping video intended for social media, and a longer film documenting the full process, available on the website.
