This collaborative work is a promotional piece for the band ‘Bright Eyes’, and more specifically their 2005 song ‘When the President Talks to God’. It consists of 5 sticker designs, an A3 publication, 5 rip off A4 posters, a B1 poster and a sleeve to contain it all.

We created five different sticker designs with varying levels of seriousness depending on the specific lyrics they reference. We then  placed these stickers around the city of Bristol and photographed them. The aim was to provoke thought and bring the lyrics of the song into public view.

These images of the stickers was then developed into an A3 photographic publication promoting the song in a modern, almost guerilla like style. Included in this publication was infomation about the band an annotations written from the perspective of the band.

This work was part of the Rough Trade exhibition in Bristol, October 3rd 2025.

In addition to the publication and public facing promotional work, we designed several rip off posters. These served as thought provoking, interactive pieces using lyrics from the song.

These posters also led to an art directed image that was produced as a large scale B1 poster. All of these visual elements were stored in the orange sleeve shown above.
